New York! Day 1

I'm back from New York! It was so exciting! It was such a great opportunity, and there was so many things to do and see! I was able to see Times Square, ride in a taxi, suffer through the dirty, crowded subways, go out to eat every day, and so much more. I definitely could never live there, but it is certainly a fun place to visit. The adventures we had and the friends we made were the best... I had SUCH a great time! I took tons of pictures, so I'll post as many as I can so you can get a feel for the trip! I'd like to thank my amazing family again for helping me get there! It was awesome!!

DAY ONE-

We made it safe and sound! The airport was much smaller than we thought, and it was FILLED with lots of hurried people.

My friends and I in the airport after just arriving! So glad to stretch our legs and socialize after a three hour flight!

Broadway!

The skyscrapers are HUGE.

What our hotel room looked like!!

The year 2014 "Ball" from the "Ball Drop"!

The Wonka Store in the "Toys R Us"

Who knew Toys R Us had such good desserts?

The indoor Ferris wheel! The cars were so cute that we got to ride in.

GIGANTIC NERDS!!! Only at Wonka! (:

My crazy friends on the Ferris Wheel!

From "Forrest Gump"!!

China Town!
Even McDonald's is "Chinese-a-fied" in China Town

For dinner on our first night, we got to pick wherever we wanted to go. Our group decided to go to China Town for some good Chinese food. The place we went to was some kind of famous little restaurant, where nothing was under $20! So, being a cheap little Mikayla, I chose the veggie spring rolls that were appetizers for only $3.50, plus tax. (: They were pretty amazing. Much better than any "Panda Express"!

Words of wisdom from the dirty, crowded, and shaky subway. Really, the only thing I hated was the subway. There were rats in the tracks, and there was so much commotion, pushing, and shoving! Ugh. It was an awful way of transportation. I'd take the MAX any day over the subway.
Pastas and pizzas galore!
The lights at night around Times Square are insane! We were coming outside from being in the subway at around 10pm, and at first, we thought the sun was still out, but it was really just the super bright lights!
